Failed CCI Exam: Options for Ultrasound Technicians

Q. I failed my CCI exam. What can I do to prepare better for the next time I take it?

A. The CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) exam is offered for accreditation purposes. To adequately prepare for this, or any other type of professional exam, applicants should take advantage of all the resources offered by the professional association or licensing body offering the accreditation.

In most cases, the professional association offering a license exam will offer some review materials and/or a practice exam. A person who is preparing to write a professional exam can benefit greatly from them, since they will focus on the types of topics and questions that will be included on the exam itself.

A person who has previously written another type of professional exam may be tempted to use the materials for other exams, but since each organization administering them is different, they may not help an applicant focus on the right topics.

When preparing to write a certification exam for ultrasound technician, look at the requirements carefully and take advantage of all the resources available from the organization offering the accreditation. Using this approach increases the odds that a candidate will achieve a passing grade and qualify for more lucrative professional opportunities.
